captain marvel (luciano costa)… i’ve wanted to turn my quickly-sketched captain marvel costume redesign into a “real” image for a while now and thought mr. costa (better known as kaidan alenko) would make a good captain.

captain marvel (rutina wesley)… monica rambeau deserves her own movie and rutina would be pretty perfect in the role.

cyclops (benjamin godfre)… i guess the commissioner liked my rictor image? anyway, cyclops’ eyes will be glowing red in the finished image.

flash… i’m still not a fan of all the lightning details on the new 52 flash costume, but this turned out okay, i reckon.

hawkman (erasmo viana)… nerd one wanted a moodier hawkman wearing some of the pointy armor he’s sporting in the comics these days. and what nerd one wants, nerd one gets.

lightning lad… two out of 900 legionnaires are now in the works. but, yeah, i’m looking forward to inking and coloring this. i really do love the legion.

luke cage vs. the shocker… i was actually commissioned to draw “luke cage beating the shit out of someone” and, well, when i think of a marvel villain who always seems to get pummeled mercilessly, i think “shocker”.

starman (michael lewis)… the sloppy shepherd’s crook is just a placeholder for his staff. it’ll be much more ornate in the finished image.

x-23 (kaya scodelario)… i have no idea who kaya is, but, on looks alone, i like this casting. i made her costume an homage to her daddy’s, but maybe too much of one? i’m still mulling it over.
